Tasks:
1. Memory verse: Bereshith 2:1 “The heaven and earth were finished, and all their array. On the seventh day HaShem finished the work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all the work that He had done. And HaShem blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it, He rested from all the work that He had done.”
2. On the next page, there is a Hebrew letter for you to cut out and paste on cardboard. Paste the letter on one side, and its name, sound and meaning on the other. Every week you will get a new letter, and can practice remembering them.
3. Colour the picture of the sun on page 12, and label the planets on page 13. And/Or you can colour each of the planets, and make a poster, using black background. Show how they are placed around the sun. Also colour and paste a few stars and comets. Pictures for colouring: planets. (Note: This week’s story ties in well with a unit on space. Lovely resources here or contact me for another excellent unit here Another possible unit is animals)
4. Take seven white paper plates. Cut out and paste a heading for each one, for example: day 1, day 2, etc. Draw a representation of what was created on each day, or cut pictures from magazines, and paste on the paper plates. Make a mobile and hang it somewhere in the room so that you can be reminded of the story of creation.
5. Colour the Aleph page, and learn.
